Their friendship gradually blossomed into a relationship, and despite a decade-long age gap, they tied the knot on March 3, 2016, in an intimate ceremony at Urmila’s Mumbai residence. The celebrations included both Hindu wedding rituals and a private nikah ceremony.They got divorced in 2024.
