Ram Charan‘s ‘Peddi’ is set for a major update as it enters its third week in theatres. The makers have announced that audiences will get to watch an enhanced version of the sports drama beginning Thursday. The revised edition arrives nearly two weeks after the film’s release.
Nearly six minutes of new content added
According to the production team, the updated version of Peddi will feature an additional 5 minutes and 56 seconds of footage. The new scenes will be incorporated into the film from Thursday onwards.Their Tweet read, “The #Peddi experience gets better 5 mins 56 seconds of new scenes will be added from tomorrow in theatres.”The decision comes after reports that certain portions involving Janhvi Kapoor were removed from the film following controversy.
Ticket price revision
Along with the updated cut, ‘Peddi’ will also be screened at regular ticket prices from Thursday, as reported by Cinema Express.Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, ‘Peddi’ was released in theatres on June 4. The film opened to strong interest and performed particularly well in parts of Andhra Pradesh.
Collections cross Rs 226 crore Net in India
According to Sacnilk, ‘Peddi’ earned Rs 2.45 crore net in India on Day 14. The figure marked a 29 per cent decline from the Rs 3.45 crore net collected on Day 13.After completing two weeks in theatres, the film’s total India net collection has reached Rs 226.00 crore. Its India gross collection stands at Rs 267.75 crore.The coming days could be important for the film’s overall box-office momentum. Meanwhile, the movie is getting mixed reviews from both fans and critics as well.On the other hand, Ram Charan’s previous film was the actioner ‘Game Changer’ which was directed by Shankar.
