The countdown to the release of Tom Holland’s ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has finally begun, with fans gearing up for the film’s July end release. With advance bookings already raking in the big bucks, early reports indicate that the superhero film will be swinging into theatres with one of the longest runtimes of any live-action Spider-Man film to date.

According to a post on @Cryptic4KQual, the final cut of the Holland-led film, has been locked at 2 hours and 24 minutes (144 minutes), making it the second-longest entry in the Spider-Man franchise. If this data holds true, then the film will be 4 minutes shorter than ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ which released in 2021.Previous reports indicated that ‘Brand New Day’ would have a longer runtime of approximately 150 minutes, making it the longest Spidey film. However, no official runtime or rating has been revealed as yet, as the film is awaiting certification before its July 30 release.

The official synopsis for ‘Brand New Day’ reads, “Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves – a powerful villain no one can even see. The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.
