The wait for the ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ trailer is finally set to end. After postponing the much-awaited launch earlier this month, the makers have officially announced a fresh release date. Producer Namit Malhotra confirmed that the trailer will now be unveiled worldwide on Thursday, July 30, during the auspicious Brahma Muhurat.The announcement has reignited excitement among fans, who have been eagerly waiting for the first full glimpse of the ambitious mythological epic starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol, and Ravie Dubey. Social media platforms were soon flooded with reactions after the new launch schedule was revealed.
Trailer to premiere at Brahma Muhurat
Namit Malhotra shared the official update through his Instagram account, revealing both the date and time of the trailer launch. The trailer is scheduled to premiere at 4:15 AM IST, a time regarded as spiritually significant.Sharing the announcement, the producer wrote, “At the auspicious Brahma Muhurat, we welcome the dawn of Ramayana with our trailer on 30th July 2026, Thursday at 4:15 AM IST worldwide.”

However, the makers later postponed the digital launch, leaving fans waiting for an official announcement.Explaining the reason behind the delay, Namit Malhotra had shared, “Today is a very special moment for our ‘Ramayana’, my dream of taking Ramayana to the world is now a reality with our partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment. In light of the above we will be launching our trailer now globally at a later date.”During the postponement, clips believed to be from the trailer surfaced online more than once. The alleged leaked footage spread quickly across X (formerly Twitter), with many fans requesting the production team to release the official version instead.
Star-studded cast leads the epic
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ is being developed as a two-part cinematic adaptation of the ancient Indian epic. The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. The ensemble cast also includes Lara Dutta, Vivek Oberoi, Arun Govil, and Rakul Preet Singh in pivotal roles.The first instalment, ‘Ramayana: Part 1’, is scheduled to hit theatres during Diwali 2026. The second chapter will follow during Diwali 2027.
