NEW DELHI/BENGALURU: An Air India flight from Delhi to Bengaluru suffered a tailstrike while landing at Kempegowda International Airport on Thursday.“Flight AI2651 operating from Delhi to Bengaluru on 21 May experienced a tail-strike during landing. The aircraft landed safely, and all passengers and crew disembarked normally,” an Air India spokesperson said.The airline confirmed that the aircraft has been grounded for a detailed inspection following the incident.An investigation will also be carried out in line with standard procedures and in coordination with relevant regulatory authorities.“The incident will be investigated in accordance with established procedures, in coordination with the relevant regulatory authorities,” the airline added.As a result, the return flight AI2652 from Bengaluru to Delhi was cancelled, with the airline arranging alternatives for affected passengers.“Our ground teams in Bengaluru are providing all necessary assistance,” the spokesperson said.“Air India regrets the inconvenience caused. The safety of our passengers and crew remains our highest priority,” the spokesperson said further.
