What is Alopecia?
According to the Cleveland Clinic, Alopecia is an autoimmune disease that causes patchy hair loss anywhere in the body. It most commonly affects the hair on the skin that covers the head (scalp). Medications and therapies can help hair regrow, but severe cases may not respond to treatment.
