Markets open higher; Nifty tops 24,360, Sensex nears 78,000

Indian benchmark indices opened higher, tracking positive global cues and continued foreign investor buying. The Nifty 50 rose 44.30 points (0.18%) to 24,361.50, while the Sensex gained 70.51 points to 77,998.70. Broader markets also remained firm, with the Nifty Midcap 100 advancing 175.25 points (0.28%) to 62,817 and the Nifty Bank climbing 78.40 points (0.14%) to 57,225.90.
